India and Australia locked horns with each other in the first of the three-match T20I series. Both teams played this match at the Punjab Cricket Association IS Bindra Stadium in Mohali. The visitors completely outplayed the Indian team in the curtain-raiser of the series. The men in yellow clinched the match by four wickets to gain the lead of 1-0 in the series.
Apart from Australia’s brilliant performance in the first T20I, Indian cricket fans weren’t happy with the performances of their home team. Captain Rohit Sharma and Rahul Dravid were once again on the receiving end of the criticism and taunts from the fans. Ardent cricket lovers took to Twitter to use their humor in trolling skipper Rohit Sharma and coach Rahul Dravid.
Fans were also angst by highlighting the fact that nobody is questioning the so much experimental mindset of the duo. They compared it to the Times when former coach Ravi Shastri and former skipper Virat Kohli used to be under scrutiny even after one defeat of the Indian team.
Here’s how fans reacted:
Since Kohli-Shastri left, Every series became an experiment. Captaincy, combination, Death Bowling, Opening… experiments all over and nobody is questioning the coach and Captain because they are sweet people 🤩#RohitSharma𓃵 #ViratKohli𓃵

Other than all these criticizing comments, fans also expressed their unhappiness over skipper Rohit Sharma’s decision of giving the 19th over to the senior pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar despite of a few failed outings in the previous times.
Notably, it was consecutively the third time when Sharma decided to give 19th over the 30-year-old speedster. Earlier, he also failed drastically to perform up to the expectations of the team in the recently-concluded Asia Cup 2022.
Speaking of the match, the Indian team posted a decent and big total of 208 runs for the loss of six wickets in the allotted 20 overs. Star all-rounder Hardik Pandya led the batting attack with a brilliant knock of 71 runs off just 30 balls.
But while defending the target, the Indian bowling attack failed to stop the Aussie batters before the line and eventually lost the match by four wickets.
