Senior Australian opener David Warner has caught the eyeballs of the cricketing fraternity as he released a few statements on social media. He expressed his displeasure towards the treatment he received from the officials of Cricket Australia. The veteran opener looked clearly gutted following the treatment by Cricket Australia.
Warner went on to claim that his family is unnecessarily being dragged into this controversy. The cricketer has clearly mentioned that he doesn’t want to compromise with his family for getting the captaincy ban lifted.
“My family is more important to me than cricket, Over the course of the past nearly five years since the events that occurred during the Third Test in Cape Town, even with all the humiliation and attacks that they have had to endure, I have enjoyed the unwavering support and love of my wife Candice and my three daughters, Ivy Mae, Indi Rae, and Isla Rose. They are my world,” wrote Warner in his Instagram post.
“Since that Test and even though my ban from leadership may never be lifted, I have taken it upon myself to reform, to rehabilitate, and to transform my approach to the game,” he added later.
Following this post from David Warner, the fans came up with divided reactions on Twitter. Some of the fans questioned his competency as captain whereas some others went on to go after him for involving his family in the matter.

Furthermore, speaking of Warner’s Instagram post, he later talked about his experience in cricket since his involvement was found in the ball tempering scandal that happened during the third Test in Cape Town.
“I have served and been subject to a crushing and unprecedented penalty that has horribly impacted me and my family for the past nearly five years – without the prospect of any relief until now,” reads Warner’s Instagram post further.
