Just ahead of the commencement of the eighth edition of the 20-20 World Cup, all captains of the participating teams met for a customary press conference. Following the conclusion of the Q&A session, the cricket’s governing body arranged a photo session with all the skippers. All leaders were supposed to gather and pose for a combined picture.
There was a total of 16 captains at the moment who stood near the flags of their countries in sequence to display the unity cricket brought to the world. The fans of other participating captains were happy to see all veterans in a single frame.
On the contrary, Indian fans happened to indulge in a completely different level of argument. After seeing Rohit Sharma, who is captaining the national side for the first time in the 20-20 World Cup, fans started comparing his attitude and style to that of the former Indian skipper Virat Kohli.
This debate found its roots three years back in 2019 when Kohli was leading team India in the ODI World Cup of 2019 held in England. The governing body of cricket arranged the same kind of photoshoot. At the moment, Kohli, who is famous as ‘King Kohli’ among his fans was provided his own single couch. Whereas Kiwi skipper Kane Williamson alongside Proteas skipper South Africa was looking like his guard. Kohli ended up posing very casually for the picture.
Talking about the recent photoshoot for the ongoing 20-20 World Cup 2022, Rohit Sharma was going very simple sitting on a stool in the corner of photographs with a fine enough smile that is required in a passport-size photo of the documents of your school and college. But fans took to Twitter for comparing the style of the two veterans on two different occasions.
Here’s how fans argued in the comparison between Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli:
No Indian Captain can match the Swag and confidence level of Virat Kohli 🔥

The worst days of the Indian cricket team began when they removed Virat Kohli from the captaincy. What a player what a captain he was. https://t.co/dG5Hm1zxTT

Notably, the Indians will start their 20-20 World Cup campaign with their first match against the arch-rivals Pakistan on the 23rd of October at MCG in Melbourne. Earlier, both teams faced each other during the Asia Cup 2022.
