A high-voltage encounter took place on 2 April at the Chinnaswamy stadium when Bangalore locked horns with Mumbai in the ongoing Indian T20 League. Fans were expecting a great match between these two big boys of the tournament. However, Bangalore managed to kick off the season with a win. They thrashed Rohit Sharma and his men by eight wickets.

Both Virat Kohli and Faf du Plessis were main in registering the victory. On the other hand, the Mumbai skipper, Rohit Sharma had a poor start to the season both as the batter and captain. He scored just one run off 10 balls and looked rusty while taking the right decisions on the field. Now, a video has gone viral where Bangalore fans were seen singing the ‘Vadapav’ chant toward Rohit.

Speaking of the video, some Bangalore fans were seen teasing Rohit Sharma with the ‘Vadapav’ chant to troll him for his fitness. But, it did not go well with other fans as they slammed the Chinnaswamy crowd for such a shameful act. Rohit Sharma is currently the skipper of team India across all three formats and he has been a pillar of Indian cricket along with Kohli for a long time now. So, it was quite surprising to see some fans trolling the team India skipper brutally. However, after losing the match, Rohit shared his views on the bowling effort with the bat.

While talking in the post-match presentation ceremony, Rohit Sharma said: "Of course, this is a different set-up. Someone needs to put their hand up and come in to fill that place (Bumrah’s place). We can't keep dwelling on it. You can try and control the things that are in your control and those that are not in your control, you can't do that. Injuries are not in your control. The other guys that we have are talented. It's just that they haven't played a lot of the Indian T20 League. We need to give them the support."
