With the 20-20 World Cup just a few days away, fans are keen to witness the Indian team take on the world. The team management, after bowing out of the previous edition of the 20-20 World Cup, replaced Virat Kohli with Rohit Sharma as the Indian skipper. Rahul Dravid, on the other hand, replaced Ravi Shastri as the head coach of team India.

The Indian team is already in Australia and they played two practice matches against Western Australia. Unfortunately, the Indian skipper Rohit Sharma is yet to find the best form and the sloppy phase continued in the practice matches as well.

On October 13, Thursday, the Indian skipper took to Twitter to announce that he was building a new team. However, with the hashtag, fans understood that it was an endorsement and was not related to the Indian squad. Indian fans slammed the skipper for concentrating on endorsements ahead of such a crucial tournament.

“I’m building a new team. Who’s down? #OwnTheSquad #collab,” Rohit posted on Twitter. This did not go well with the followers who are all set to cheer for the Men in Blue in the showpiece event. It remains to see if the Indian skipper would give a clear explanation on the endorsement as it has come at a crucial time.

Team India death bowling concern

Albeit the Indian batting order looks great, the bowling looks weak and submissive in the absence of lead pacer Jasprit Bumrah. With Mohammed Shami, Shardul Thakur and Mohammed Siraj already off to Australia, it remains to be seen if Shami will get a go-ahead before the rest.

Umran Malik, who was initially named as the net bowler for the tournament, failed to make it to Australia due to visa issues. The pacer from Jammu and Kashmir was supposed to board the flight alongside Kuldeep Sen but the duo was forced to remain in India because of the issue.

With not much pace to face, the Indian batters would hope for a bit of luck on their side. Either way, India’s chances of winning the World Cup look grim and the team must come together to make it happen for the fans and the country.
