Bangladesh fast-bowler Mustafizur Rahman has finally landed in Mumbai to join the Rajasthan Royals camp ahead of the upcoming IPL 2021. Last week, Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) had confirmed that the pacer was given a NOC to feature in the 14th edition of the IPL. BCB chief selector Minhajul Abedin had confirmed the news.
Upon his arrival in Mumbai, Mustafizur shared a message in Bengali. He expressed his excitement over playing for Rajasthan Royals and said that he would look to contribute to the best of his ability in the competition. Rajasthan Royals shared a clip of the bowler arriving in Mumbai on their Twitter handle with the caption: "Good news has come from Dhaka"

"This is the first time I'll be playing for Rajasthan Royals. I'm really excited. I'll work hard to contribute for the team. Thank You, Rajasthan Royals," Mustafizur said.
The Bangladesh ace is gearing up to represent his third team in the IPL. He had previously played for Sunrisers Hyderabad and Mumbai Indians in the IPL. Mustafizur last played in the IPL in 2018 when he plied his trade for the Mumbai franchise. Back in 2016, the 24-year-old made a dream start to his IPL career after becoming the first overseas player to become the ‘Emerging Player of the Tournament’ after picking up 17 wickets.
Earlier this year, Rajasthan Royals signed him up at the 2021 mini-auction for his base price of INR 1 crore. Meanwhile, Mustafizur will have to serve the mandatory quarantine and will thus miss Royals' first game of the season against the Punjab Kings on April 12. He is also likely to miss his team's second game on April 15 against last year's runners-up Delhi Capitals.
