Pakistan are currently busy playing a two-day practice match against Sri Lanka Cricket President’s XI in Hambantota. After this, they will play Sri Lanka in a two-match Test series, starting on 16 July 2023 in Galle. The second game will begin on 24 July in Colombo. However, later this year, Pakistan are all set to visit India for the ODI World Cup.
They will begin their campaign on 6 October. But, now a video has gone viral where Pakistan Men’s Cricket Team’s Director, Mickey Aurther was seen claiming of winning both the World Cup and Test series in Australia. Seeing that, fans came up with some mixed reactions on social media.
Here is the shared video:

Pakistan last won a Test match in Australia in 1995
As per the announced schedule, Pakistan are going to play across five venues in the upcoming World Cup. Against their arch-rivals India, they will be in action on 15 October at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad. On 12 November, they will play their last league game against England at Eden Gardens, Kolkata. After the World Cup, the Men in Green will visit Australia for a three-match Test series. On 14 December, they will play the first game in Perth. The second game will be played in Melbourn on 26 December and then, the last game of the series will be played on 3 January 2024 in Sydney.
Since 1995, Pakistan have failed to win a single Test match in Australia. Even, the Aussies won the last Test series in Pakistan. So, a very tough battle awaits Babar Azam and his men. Therefore, it was quite shocking for some fans to see Micky Arthur claiming of winning that series with such confidence. On 20 April 2023, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) appointed Arthur as the Director of the Pakistan Men’s Cricket Team. Arthur was the head coach of Pakistan from 2016 to 2019. During his tenure, they won the Champions Trophy in 2017 and he helped them to become the number one-ranked team in Tests and T20Is.
