Notably, the two-time World Champion skipper led India in the six editions of the 20-20 World Cup, and he was also in the role of mentor with the team during last year’s 20-20 World cup. But this year, he won’t be a part of the Indian camp.

Coming back to Dhoni’s chat with the anchor in the promotional event, the latter started talking about cricket and before he could ask any questions, Dhoni came up with a funny response that went viral.

Although Dhoni is no more a part of the national side of India, he had already confirmed that he will play in the 2023 edition of the Indian T20 League. He is leading Chennai’s team since the inception of the tournament except for two seasons when the team was banned from the league.

Speaking of the Indian T20 League, the Indian cricket Board has already confirmed the schedule of the next year’s edition will be like the pre-covid era for the league. The tournament will be played in home and away format once again.

The authorities are all set to organize a mini-auction for the next season. It might happen later in the end of this year in the month of December in Bengaluru.
