Rohit Sharma-led team India is constantly under fire from harsh criticism from Indian cricket fans and former cricketers following a humiliating loss in the 20-20 World Cup 2022. Notably, the men in blue were completely choked in the second semi-final of the tournament against England. The same media reports also understand that the Ranchi-born former Indian legend will bid adieu to all forms of cricket after the conclusion of the 2023 edition of the Indian T20 League.

Earlier, the 2011 World Cup-winner skipper had also worked with the men in blue as an interim mentor during last year’s 20-20 World Cup played in UAE. Although, this move couldn’t capitalize for the Indian team during the seventh edition of the 20-20 World Cup as they were knocked out in the Group Stage of the tournament.

According to the Indian cricket Board, this move will also release some amount of workload from the current head coach Rahul Dravid.
