Team India has moved to the top of the table in the World Test Championships after their win over South Africa in Cape Town. The seven wicket-win was possible due to Mohammad Siraj and Jasprit Bumrah’s tremendous bowling performances.

5- Mohammad Siraj – 68 Wickets
29-year-old Mohammed Siraj has taken to Test cricket like a duck to water. Ever since his debut in Australia in late 2020, the right-arm pacer has been a class performer in the Test format. With 68 –wickets during the World Test Championships calendar, Mohammed Siraj has been at his absolute best. His 6/15 in Cape Town was his third fifer in twenty-three World Test Championship games.
4- Ravindra Jadeja – 83 Wickets
India’s best all-rounder in the modern and a genuine match-winner, Ravindra Jadeja has been at his finest since his Test debut. The man from Saurashtra has played 27 World Test Championship games and picked 83 wickets. His best was during the Border-Gavaskar series last year when he took a career-best 7/42 in New Delhi.
3- Mohammed Shami – 85 Wickets
One of India’s most potent seamer over the last seven years, Mohammed Shami has proven to be a match-winner across the world. The 33-year-old is a dangerous bowler with the ability to hit the seam and with his movement off the pitch. With the old ball, there is no one better than Mohammed Shami as far as reverse swing is concerned. In 24 World Test Championship games, Shami has picked 85 wickets and helped his team to two finals.
2- Jasprit Bumrah – 91 Wickets
There is no better sight than watching Jasprit Bumrah run into to bowl and show his wizardry with the ball. Ever since his Test Debut, Jasprit Bumrah has been at the forefront of India’s pace bowling. His spell during the Cape Town Test shows why he is considered as one of the best bowlers across all formats. Bumrah has played 22 World Test Championship games and picked 91 wickets. Rohit Sharma will hope his pacer soon hits the 100 mark and helps India to the 2025 Finals.
1- Ravichandran Ashwin – 148 Wickets
Since the time the World Test Championships came into place, there has been no bigger match winner for India than Ravichandran Ashwin. The veteran off-spinner is a force to be reckoned with in the longest format of the game both home and away. In 30 games Ashwin has picked 148 wickets to make him the top Indian bowler in the overall wicket-takers. Only Nathan Lyon and Pat Cummins are ahead of Ashwin on the all-time list for the World Test Championships.
