India's star cricketer Ravindra Jadeja wrote his name in the history of Indian cricket by completing 2000 runs as well as 200 wickets in the One Day International on Friday. Notably, the great all-rounder achieved this landmark during the Super Fours clash against Bangladesh on September 15 at R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo during the Asia Cup 2023. The left-handed batter joins legendary cricketer Kapil Dev on the elite list and becomes the second all-rounder to achieve this milestone.

The 1983 World Cup-winning skipper was the first Indian to complete 2000 runs while grabbing 200 wickets in his 166 ODI innings. Meanwhile, Ravindra Jadeja took 179 innings to reach this feat. Notably, the left-arm orthodox bowler has always been a crucial player for his team, as the off-spinner took six wickets in just four matches of the Asia Cup 2023, which played a crucial role in helping the Men in Blue reach the final.
