In April 2023, Arthur made his return for a second stint with the Men in Green. The former South Africa cricketer had previously served as the Head Coach from 2016 to 2019. Meanwhile, former New Zealand cricketer Bradburn was their fielding coach from 2018 to 2020 and returned to the team as head coach last year.

"All three individuals informed the Pakistan Cricket Board of their decision to leave their respective jobs by the end of January 2024. The decision was taken amicably between all the stakeholders. The PCB wishes them well in their future endeavours and is grateful for their services," the PCB said in a statement.

After Pakistan's dismal campaign in the 2023 ODI World Cup, the trio had their responsibilities reshuffled and given roles at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Lahore. The 1992 champions had an early exit, missing the semi-finals of the mega event. The Babar Azam-led side finished fifth in the points table after suffering a string of defeats, including against arch-rivals India and 'minnows' Afghanistan.

The tournament saw a massive overhaul in the Pakistan men's team, starting with Babar quitting his captaincy from all formats of the game. Shan Masood was appointed as the Test captain and Shaheen Afridi as the T20I captain.

Coming to the managerial roles, former Pakistan all-rounder Mohammad Hafeez took over as the team director and head coach. Former Pakistan pacer Wahab Riaz is their current chief selector and former Australia cricketer Adam Hollioake is the batting coach.
