Among the 590 players, 370 are from India and 220 from abroad. An important point to be noted is the fact that this mega auction shall see two new teams, i.e. the Gujrat Titans and the Lucknow Super Giants. These two teams picked their drafts ahead of the mega auction. While LSG picked KL Rahul, Marcus Stoinis and Ravi Bishnoi, the Titans picked Hardik Pandya, Rashid Khan and Shubman Gill. Thus, a lot of players are expected to get a contract this time around.

There will be some big names like David Warner, Kagiso Rabada, Ishan Kishan, Shreyas Iyer etc who will be the obvious attractions in the auction. However, the likes of Chris Gayle, Mitchell Starc and Ben Stokes have opted out of the mega auction and thus, won't go down the hammer. While the Punjab have the highest purse (INR 72 crore), the Delhi Capitals have the lowest (INR 48 crore).

This mega auction will be taking place in Bengaluru. With the recent reports suggesting that this will be the last mega auction, all teams would want to build a strong team. Thus, they will be rearing to get on the auction table, and implement their strategies.
