Just a few days after Sachin Tendulkar’s appeal to the authorities, Mumbai police sprang into action. The former Indian legendary batter had issued a public appeal after he became the latest victim to Deepfake videos.

A dubious gaming application and its associated social media pages were charged under the IT act. There is also a first information report that has been filed for trying to defame the Indian cricketing great.

According to the complaint made, it has come to light the application in site had used technology unlawfully used Tendulkar’s likeness. As per the report, Sachin Tendulkar’s voice was embedded unlawfully and used for their own financial gain.

On Monday, there were massive reports of former India star Sachin Tendulkar becoming a victim of Deepfake videos. It was soon revealed that an illegal gaming application was behind all the drama.

After this came to light, Sachin Tendulkar took to social media and released the video. The former India legend could be heard saying “These videos are fake. It is disturbing to see rampant misuse of technology. Request everyone to report videos, ads, and apps like this in large numbers”

The 50-year-old also added “Swift action is crucial to stop the spread of misinformation and Deepfakes”. Authorities have launched an investigated and an FIR has been filed under Section 500 (For Defamation), and Section 66A (sending offensive messages through communication services)

Meanwhile, Sachin Tendulkar was back to doing what he does best. The 50-year-old was playing for a special cause on Thursday. It was the game between One World vs One Family with Yuvraj Singh and Tendulkar as the captains. 

The massive crowd got some vintage Tendulkar shots before the right-handed batter perished for 27. It was Sachin Tendulkar’s team which won the game with a ball to spare thanks to Irfan Pathan.

Darren Maddy top score for One family with 51 runs as Yusuf Pathan hit 38 runs. Yuvraj Singh scored 23 runs while former India legend Harbhajan Singh took 2/30. Needing 181 to win, Alviro Petersen hit 74 runs to help them side to an thrilling win.
