In the 25th game of the ongoing IPL 2023, Sunrisers Hyderabad locked horns with Mumbai Indians in Hyderabad. Ahead of the game, both teams were coming off two back-to-back wins in their respective previous games. Meanwhile, in this game, the home team won the toss and elected to bowl first. Skipper Aiden Markram cited the wicket being dry and might get better in the second innings.

Meanwhile, the Blue Brigade, MI had a good start with the skipper scoring 28 off 18 balls inside the powerplay. However, he couldn't go long as he became the victim of T Natarajan. Ishan Kishan struggled his way to 31-ball 38 while Suryakumar Yadav (7) failed to carry on from his cameo in the previous game against Kolkata Knight Riders.

At 95/3, the likes of Tilak Varma (37) and Cameron Green (64*) put together 56 runs for the fourth wicket. After the former's wicket, Tim David (16*) came in and added another 41 runs with Green to take the team to 192/5.

In reply, the Orange Army had a poor start as they lost the wicket of Harry Brook in the second over. Things got a little worse as Rahul Tripathi became the second victim of Behrendorff. At 25/2, the likes of Mayank Agarwal and skipper Aiden Markram out together 46 runs to steady the innings.

However, in the ninth and 10th overs, the team lost the wickets of Markram and Abhishek Sharma pegged the team back a bit in the chase. However, Heinrich Klassen hit 20 runs in the 14th over bowled by Piyush Chawla changed the game in the team's favor. The only thing that didn't go in their favor is the fall of his wicket.

In the next over, Agarwal (48) lost his wicket which created more problems for the team. At this stage, the likes of Marco Jansen (13) and Washington Sundar (10) played crucial cameos to keep the team close in the chase. However, their wickets at crucial times led to them losing the game by 14 runs.
