Rajasthan are currently taking on Gujarat in the first Qualifier of the Indian T20 League 2022. The inaugural champions were sent in to bat first in the important game of the playoffs. Jos Buttler, who has had a great season, scored a half-century. However, it was not the easiest one for him. The Englishman struggled to get his innings going, to begin with. In addition, a few misfields and dropped chances gave him the upper hand in the game.

Buttler took his time to settle in the game and did not go wild until the back end of the game. He hit a four to get to his half-century in the 17th over. Post that, he pushed down the accelerator to get the team in a good position. The sloppy fielding by Gujarat's fielders helped his cause as well.

He started scoring big after his fifty, and ended with a score of 89 runs from 56 balls. He was unfortunately run out on the last ball of the innings, trying to steal a second run. Buttler hit 12 fours and two sixes in the innings. In the match, Sanju Samson (47 runs in 26 balls) and Devdutt Padikkal (28 runs in 22 balls) also played important cameos to the team's total. The Sanju Samson-led side managed to score 188 runs, while batting first.

In the meantime, Twitter went crazy over his hard-fought half-century. 'Luck is clearly favouring Buttler here! We might see one more top performance from him," Vinay Kumar wrote in his tweet. "HIT WICKET is the only way Jos Buttler can get out to," a fan hilariously wrote. "That’s the worst @josbuttler 50 I’ve ever seen πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚" read another Tweet.
