In the ongoing semifinals of the Ranji Trophy 2024, star India allrounder Shardul Thakur rescues Mumbai from trouble. Bowling first, Mumbai bundled up Tamil Nadu for a mere 146 runs but failed to put up a show with the bat.

Apart from Musheer Khan, not a single batter in the top eight scored more than 35 runs. Musheer, in his innings, scored 55 runs off 131 balls as Mumbai lost their seven wickets for a mere 107 runs. However, Shardul, along with Hardik Tamore, led Mumbai to relief as he smashed a magnificent century.

Thakur, in his innings, scored a brilliant century while stitching up a beautiful century partnership with Hardik. Both not only rescued Mumbai but also led them to a comfortable position. Thakur is currently batting at 108 runs, while Hardik has been dismissed by R. Sai Kishore.

Regarding Tamil Nadu, it's worth mentioning that R. Sai Kishore has been phenomenal for them. In his spell till now, Kishore has clinched six wickets by giving just 88 runs in 33 overs.
