Pakistan is aiming to level the three-match series against England with a 355-run target in the second Test in Multan. In the second innings, the side bowled England out for 275 runs and made an impressive start to the run-chase, with Abdullah Shafique and Mohammad Rizwan adding 66 runs for the first wicket. However, Rizwan was dismissed by an incredible delivery from James Anderson, and captain Babar Azam followed soon.

Pakistan fans had hoped that Babar would play a key role in the run chase, but the skipper was dismissed thanks to brilliant seam movement from Ollie Robinson, who dismissed him twice in the match. Babar's fatal leave seemed to have failed to account for the movement off the surface. The ball took a sharp inward movement, leaving Babar stunned as it hit the stumps.

Earlier in the series, England won the toss and chose to bat in the second Test, but were bowled out for 281 on the first day in Multan. Abrar Ahmed, making his debut for Pakistan, tonked seven English wickets in the first innings. After bowling Pakistan out for 202, the visitors took a 79-run lead, and Harry Brook smashed a brilliant century to take England to 275 in the second innings. Abrar was Pakistan's best bowler again in the second innings, taking four wickets to finish with Pakistan's best debut figures (11/234).

England leads the three-match series 1-0 after a brilliant 74-run victory over Pakistan in the first game in Rawalpindi. The English team, led by Ben Stokes, also set a world record for most runs scored on Day 1 of a Test, finishing with 506/4 in 75 overs in the Rawalpindi Test.
