The Indian Team will want to try their long-lasting hunt for a World event in the coming ODI World Cup 2023. The Men in Blue last won the World Cup in 2011. They will want to try and repeat history on home soil and in front of the home crowds. In 2011 Yuvraj Singh was Team India's chief architect in the 2011 World Cup triumph.
The all-rounder picked up 15 wickets with the ball and also scored 362 runs in eight innings. The right-hander struck four half-centuries and one century against the West Indies. The left-hander had an average of 90.50 and at a strike rate of 86.19. Adam Gilchrist believes that Team India should call the likes of Sachin Tendulkar, MS Dhoni and Yuvraj Singh to mentor the Indian side ahead of World Cup 2023.
MS Dhoni mentored Team India in the 2021 T20 World Cup
If I would be in the Indian hierarchy, I would be tapping into guys like Sachin (Tendulkar), MS (Dhoni) to come in and spend time with the group if they are available, and pass on all their experience. I would have tried to get guys like Yuvraj (Singh), who had so much going on in his life during that 2011 tournament, and ask them to speak openly about it, Gilchrist was quoted as saying by Republic World.
Team India already tried that experiment during the 2021 T20 World Cup. It was held in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The former Indian captain was called on to mentor the side but it did not make a difference as India crashed out of the World Cup after losing to New Zealand and Pakistan. MS Dhoni stayed with the team after the 2021 Indian Premier League (IPL) edition finished.
Gilchrist further went on to say that he would expect Australia to be one of the top contenders ahead of the World Cup. The Kangaroos have a three-match ODI series against India in India. The likes of Steve Smith, Pat Cummins and Mitchell Starc will want to get into match practice pretty quickly ahead of the World event.

Last time when dhoni spent time with the team, we all know what happened. If you really want results and a winning mindset, bring dada. Sabko sidha kr denge.

This might not help anyone. The coaches and captain have their own plan. Game has changed.

Actually it's a good suggestion. They can be good motivational mentors for the team. The presence of both #SachinTendulkar and #MSD would bring a lot of positivity in the team.

Nai bhaai! Let's not a lot of minds impact the team.. I understand they have experience and it can be helpful. But I think everyone works differently and things are working well right now.. Let's not make a lot of changes just before the World Cup :)
