On 22 July 2023, the third and last game of the ongoing three-match ODI series between India Women and Bangladesh Women took place in Mirpur. Bangladesh won the first game while India made a comeback in the second game. So, an enthralling series decider was waiting for both teams and their fans.

Speaking of the match, Bangladesh skipper, Nigar Sultana won the toss and opted to bat first. While batting first, both Shamima Sultana and Fargana Hoque gave a solid start to the home team. Both of them put up an opening partnership of 93 runs in 26.2 overs. Shamima scored 52 runs off 78 balls, including five fours.

India Women got all out for 225 runs in 49.3 overs  

Then Fargana and skipper, Nigar put up a partnership of 71 runs for the second wicket. Fargana was the star of the show as she scored 107 runs off 160 balls, including seven fours. Thus, she became the first player to score a century for Bangladesh Women in the history of ODIs. She reached that milestone off 156 balls. Apart from her, Nigar Sultana scored 24 runs off 36 balls while Sobhana Mostary scored 23* runs off 22 balls as they scored 225 runs for four wickets in 50 overs. For India, Sneh Rana grabbed two wickets for 45 runs in 10 overs while Devika Vaidya took one wicket.

In reply, India lost two wickets for 32 runs but after that, Smriti Mandhana and Harleen Deol put up a partnership of 107 runs for the third wicket. Mandhana scored 59 runs off 85 balls, including five fours while Deol scored 77 runs off 108 balls, including nine fours. But, apart from them, no other batters managed to score big as they faced a batting collapse. In the end, India needed nine runs in the last two overs with only one wicket remaining. Jemimah Rodrigues was on the crease with Meghna Singh. In the last over, they needed three runs and on the first two balls, they took two singles. But, on the third delivery, the wicket fell down and the game ended as a tie. Thus, the series also ended at a scoreline of 1-1.
