Delhi have lost their second game of the Indian T20 league 2022 as Lucknow beat them by six wickets. The KL Rahul-led side continued their good form as they won their third game of this edition. With the way Lucknow have been playing so far in the tournament, it wouldn't be an overstatement to say that the other teams need to be vary of them
After winning the toss and electing to bowl first, Lucknow's bowlers had to face the wrath of Prithvi Shaw. The explosive opener was at his absolute best as he effortlessly started to play the big shots. On the other hand, David Warner struggled to get going.
So much so, that when Shaw got to his half-century, the Aussie opener was batting on four. The 22-year-old was dismissed after scoring 61 from just 34 balls. It seemed as if he was batting on a different surface. Post his dismissal, none of the Delhi batters were able to get going.
Warner's first game of this edition wasn't really a memorable one as he scored a 12-ball four. After which, even Rovman Powell had to return to the pavilion after taking nine balls to score his three runs. Things didn't get better for the Delhi-based franchise as Pant and Sarfraz Khan weren't at their best either. At the end, they got to 149-3 in the first innings.
When it comes to the second innings, Lucknow's openers played it safe early on in the innings. However, Anrich Nortje's first over saw Quinton de Kock take him down as he scored 19 runs. The Proteas keeper-batter played superbly to get to his half-century.
Like Shaw for Delhi, QDK was single-handedly making things easier for the Lucknow-based franchise. After his wicket, things did look a little tense before Krunal Pandya and Ayush Badoni finished the game in style. Several fans took to Twitter to speak about today's game. They appreciated a lot of players and at the same time, criticized a few.
Here are some of the Tweets from today's game:
Ayush Badoni's temperament is way beyond what others at this age have.

Great shot range and excellent temperament.
Ayush Badoni's body should be checked, doctors will not find nerves in his body

Pant as a captain is so so ordinary.... Shreyas Iyer is the future...

You first don't start Sarfaraz, then you drop the player (Mandeep) who you initially picked just after two games, one of which included a fluke dismissal (vs MI) and then when you finally play Sarfaraz, you don't send him against spin in the middle overs and he has to reconstruct

Kudos to everyone who didn't sleep. #IPL

Great captaincy by KL rahul today, his captaincy is improving day by day but no one will appreciate him cuz he is kl rahul, this agenda against him is crazy

Jason Holder didn't concede a single boundary in the 18th and 20th over he bowled today. Excellent death bowling from him.

Pretty embarrassing that Norkje may end up winning the award for the fastest bowl of the match, that was the beamer eventually going for a six...

This will be always on the cards especially when you introduce a category thats as meaningless as H in honesty!
I could be totally wrong but wicket itni bhi buri nahi hai jis prakar ki aaj ballebaazi huyi hai. Shaw and QDK khul ke khele
