'Kudos to everyone who didn't sleep' - Twitter unhappy with Delhi for losing yet another game

Delhi have lost their second game of the Indian T20 league 2022 as Lucknow beat them by six wickets. The KL Rahul-led side continued their good form as they won their third game of this edition. With the way Lucknow have been playing so far in the tournament, it wouldn't be an overstatement to say that the other teams need to be vary of them

After winning the toss and electing to bowl first, Lucknow's bowlers had to face the wrath of Prithvi Shaw. The explosive opener was at his absolute best as he effortlessly started to play the big shots. On the other hand, David Warner struggled to get going.

So much so, that when Shaw got to his half-century, the Aussie opener was batting on four. The 22-year-old was dismissed after scoring 61 from just 34 balls. It seemed as if he was batting on a different surface. Post his dismissal, none of the Delhi batters were able to get going.

Warner's first game of this edition wasn't really a memorable one as he scored a 12-ball four. After which, even Rovman Powell had to return to the pavilion after taking nine balls to score his three runs. Things didn't get better for the Delhi-based franchise as Pant and Sarfraz Khan weren't at their best either. At the end, they got to 149-3 in the first innings.

When it comes to the second innings, Lucknow's openers played it safe early on in the innings. However, Anrich Nortje's first over saw Quinton de Kock take him down as he scored 19 runs. The Proteas keeper-batter played superbly to get to his half-century.

Like Shaw for Delhi, QDK was single-handedly making things easier for the Lucknow-based franchise. After his wicket, things did look a little tense before Krunal Pandya and Ayush Badoni finished the game in style. Several fans took to Twitter to speak about today's game. They appreciated a lot of players and at the same time, criticized a few.
