Recently, the Indian Cricket Board announced that they are looking to expand the window of the Indian T20 League. The Board secretary had announced that they will have a meeting with World Cricket Governing Council on the matter.
Shah reasoned that the board is looking to have the best players available for the cash-rich league from 2024. On the other hand, it was reported that Pakistan Cricket Board will raise their objections.
"From the next ICC FTP calendar, IPL will have an official two-and a-half month window so that all the top international cricketers can participate." Jay Shah, BCCI Secretary said.

Apparently, PCB chairperson Ramiz Raja has officially announced that the board will raise objection to Indian cricket board's ambition. They reason that if the window of the biggest T20 League is increased, it will raise a threat to bilateral cricket. Raja has maintained that the official announcement on the Indian T20 League window hasn't been made yet. However, he made it clear that PCB will raise their issues if it impacts world cricket.
“There has been no announcement or decision as yet on the IPL window being increased. I will give my views on this issue at the ICC conference,” Raja said during a media conference on Friday.
“My point is clear: if there is any development in world cricket that means we are being short-changed, we will challenge it in a very forceful manner and put our point across strongly in the ICC,” he said.

The development has happened at a time when India and Pakistan cricket boards are looking to revive the Afro-Asia Cup alongside the Asian Cricket Council (ACC). However, these are reports sent by the sources and nothing has been made official.
The Pakistan players haven't played in the Indian T20 League since 2008 due to political relations between the Asian countries. Similarly, Indian players are also absent during the Pakistan Super League since its inauguration in 2016.
