The whole cricket fraternity is eagerly waiting for 10 September 2023 as India will take on Pakistan in the ‘Super 4’ clash of the ongoing Asia Cup in Colombo. However, the group stage clash between these arch-rivals was called off due to rain after one inning. But, Virat Kohli had a disappointing outing in that game.
He just scored four runs and seeing such a failure, fans were left disappointed. He was expected to play a solid knock as his recent form has been decent. But, he still failed to deliver. Now, all eyes will be on him again when the Men in Blue will take on the Men in Green on 10 September.
Virat Kohli has scored 210 runs so far against Pakistan in four Asia Cup ODIs so far
Virat Kohli has a good record to his name against Pakistan in ODIs. So far, he has played 14 matches and scored 540 runs, at an average of 45 with a strike rate of 95.74. He has smashed two fifties and two centuries also. But, over the years in the Asia Cup, Kohli has played four ODIs and scored 210 runs, including his career-best score of 183 runs. That epic knock came in the 2012 Asia Cup in Mirpur while chasing a mammoth total of 330 runs successfully. But, on other three occasions, he failed to cross the 20-run mark. So, the upcoming clash can be a good opportunity for him to improve this record.

Meanwhile, Pakistan’s bowlers have been in red-hot form in this tournament so far. In all three matches, they managed to take all 10 wickets of the opponents. Against India, their trio of pacers, Shaheen Shah Afridi, Naseem Shah, and Haris Rauf took all wickets. Even, currently, these bowlers are the top three wicket-takers in this ongoing tournament. So, a stern battle awaits the former Team India skipper. But, this time around, fans will expect a better approach from the star batter. In the last game, Shaheen got his wicket as he played on the delivery onto his stumps, courtesy of an inside edge.
