India will host the ODI World Cup for the fourth time. The Men in Blue have not won a World event since the Champions Trophy win in 2013 under the leadership of MS Dhoni. They will want to buck the trend in home conditions and do something special for the loyal fans at home. In 2011, India last won the World Cup.

Ahead of the 2023 World Cup, Virat Kohli one of India's best batters found an admirer in Marcus Stoinis. The two have played an Indian Premier League (IPL) season together with the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). Kohli has been in great nick in ODIs and India will count on him to score the big runs in the World Cup.

India's first World Cup encounter will be against Pat Cummins-led side at the M.a Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. The World Cup will be played in 10 venues in India. The 50-over tournament will be Rohit Sharma's litmus test as India have not managed to win big tournaments under him.
