But, ahead of that clash, he came up with a bold claim of surprising India’s Suryakumar Yadav. Haris has impressed fans so far with his fancy all-around shots. He also played some impactful cameos during the 2022 20-20 World Cup in Australia. On the other hand, Suryakumar Yadav is the number one-ranked batter in the shortest format of the game.

If I worked hard, I would surpass SKY's standard” - Mohammad Haris

His innovative shots and the 360-degree game has earned him many fans throughout all these years, courtesy of IPL and International matches. While speaking to Pak TV, regarding his comparison with Suryakumar, Haris said: "I should not be compared to Surya Kumar Yadav, he's 32 years old and I am 22. He has his own standard, AB de Villiers had his own and I have mine. If I worked hard, I would surpass SKY's standard otherwise I would stay below him". This bold claim did not go well with fans as they slammed the young cricketer on social media brutally.

Meanwhile, Suryakumar Yadav was recently seen in action in the Duleep Trophy for the West Zone. But, he had a disappointing tournament as Suryakumar failed miserably in both innings of the final against South Zone. In four innings, he scored just 71 runs, including a 52-run knock in the semi-final.
