The first match of the two-match Test series between West Indies and India is all set to begin on 12 July in Dominica. However, ahead of the test, all eyes were on the Indian team management regarding the final playing XI. On the eve of the clash, skipper Rohit Sharma came up with an update regarding his opening partner.

He said: "Indian cricket desperately needed a left-hander and we found a very good player. Looks very promising." He also shared that Gill personally had a talk with head coach Rahul Dravid as he wants to play at the number three position.
