On 16 May 2023, Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) will take on Mumbai Indians (MI) in the ongoing IPL. Currently, MI are in the third position with 14 points in 12 games while LSG are in the fourth position with 13 points in 12 games. Speaking of this clash, LSG have the upper hand when it comes to facing MI in IPL. Till now, two matches have been played and LSG have won both games. So, MI will look to open their account this time around. Speaking about Rohit Sharma, the MI skipper has been having a poor season with the bat so far in the tournament. He has scored 220 runs in 12 matches, at an average of 18.33 and a strike rate of 128.65. So, fans will hope to see him score big runs in the upcoming matches.

However, after the win over GT, Rohit heaped high praises on Suryakumar Yadav as he scored his maiden IPL ton in the game. Rohit said: “Honestly, it's just the confidence Surya has got. At the start of the tournament, we were debating if we need a left-right combination, Surya said no, 'I want to go in'. That's the kind of confidence he brings and it rubs off on the guys who are batting with him. There's no looking back. Good thing is every game he's wanting to start fresh. Which is nice for a cricketer to think like that. Sometimes you can sit back and be very proud about it, but that's not the case with him.”
