They never emerge from the horrible start and were restricted on the score of just 181 runs. Scotland's Brandon McMullen displayed a brilliant bowling performance as he picked up 3 wickets while conceding only 32 runs in 9 overs. Chasing the target, Scotland lost their first on the 1st ball of the second innings.

But, Matthew Cross and McMullen stitched a brilliant 125-run stand for the 2nd wicket and ensured a historic win. Cross remained unbeaten on the score of 74 runs and led his team to a 7-wicket win. Meanwhile, Windies skipper Shai Hope talked the loss in the post-match presentation and said they have let themselves down.

“To be honest, it's not one thing I can put my finger on. We certainly let ourselves down in the tournament. We need to look at how we start our innings definitely. We knew it would be challenging. The toss is always crucial but we need to find a way to counter that early movement.” Hope was quoted as saying by Cricbuzz.
