Virat Kohli has been India's powerhouse when it comes to Cricket. The legend, however, has not been at his best or what fans call 'the beast mode' since late 2019. The story of his comeback has been ongoing for a long time now and he will take on the big stage once again in The Asia Cup 2022.
Fans and former cricketers have started opining on the veteran's form and the recent to list is Shahid Afridi. The former Pakistani skipper put a request to his fans to come up with questions with the hashtag '#AskLala'. The news spread like a wildfire and fans left no stone unturned to throw questions at the 45-year-old allrounder.
One of his fans asked for his opinion on the Indian legend's future and the former Pakistani came up with a five-word reply. A fan asked him to opine on Virat Kohli's future and Afridi was happy to reply to him. He said that the future of the Indian legend depended on the legend himself.
It’s in his own hands.

Kohli has been on a break for more than a month and missed the West Indies series and the Zimbabwe series as well. The star-Indian batter was rested for the Zimbabwe series as well. With the Asia Cup 2022 just a week away, the veteran has already started fine-tuning his techniques. A video of him sweating it hard in the gym surfaced on social media recently and it went viral right away.
Another fan highlighted the fact that it has been thousand days since the Indian legend reached the three-figure mark. Afridi highlighted the importance of the tough phase in a player's life and how it can unearth one's potential. He replied "Bare players ka mushkil waqt me hi pata chalta hai (Only tough times can unearth the big players)."

The Delhi-born batter has amassed tons of runs for India across formats. One can never question his mighty presence in the team and his past is a standing example of it. Pakistani spinner Yasir Shah said that the Indian legend can't be taken lightly and can return to form anytime.
"Don't take Virat Kohli easy. Yes, he is not in form because he is struggling to score runs, but he is a world-class player and he can come back to form at any time," he said to pktv.tv.
