“You have to keep applying yourself, that's important.” - Shubman Gill

RCB fanbase is known as one of the most loyal fanbases in the history of IPL for their love and affection for the team despite their poor performances year by year. Their support has always made headlines. But, some toxic fans have always made the overall thing dirty on social media by targeting players and their family members. Speaking of the match, Virat Kohli smashed his seventh IPL ton as RCB scored 197 runs for five wickets in 20 overs. But, in reply, Shubman Gill remained not out on 104* runs off 52 balls as GT chased down the target with five balls and six wickets to spare.

Gill also won the Player of the Match award and during the post-match presentation, he said: "It's all about getting a start and converting it into a big one. Thankfully it's working out for me in the business end. You have to keep applying yourself, that's important. The new ball was holding on a bit. The ball was getting wet with the dew. I thought Vijay Shankar was trying to go too hard. Once he found the momentum, he hit it a long way. I know my game... for any player it's important to know who you are. I think we have a great bowling attack for that wicket."
