During the Australia tour of 2020/21, Team India registered a historic series as they won by a margin of 2-1. Indian players put a great fight throughout the series. However, they experienced a scary flight incident during that series. The same was recently recalled by Ravichandran Ashwin in an event.
At the trailer launch of Voot Select’s upcoming documentary ‘Bandon Mein Tha Dum’, Ashwin drew light on their flight to Sydney, and how scary the ride was for him and the entire team. Team India was on a flight to Sydney from Melbourne for the New Year’s Test match. During that period, the plane was hit by a thunderstorm.
“It was so scary that for a moment” - Ashwin
He said: “We were flying to Sydney and the flight encountered a thunderstorm. It was so scary that for a moment, I thought that the flight would never land,” After reaching Sydney, he even tweeted which stated: “Yours Turbulently, Melbourne to Sydney! #ouch #scary.”
Here is the tweet from his account:

The documentary based on this historic Test series win will be released very soon
Team India showed great character as they came back from a humiliating defeat in the first match of that series to win the series by 2-1. Team India were bundled out for 36 runs only in an innings of that match. But, they sealed a stunning series victory and that whole story will be in main focus for this upcoming series Bandon Mein Tha Dum. This series has been directed by Neeraj Pandey.
Speaking about that series, the Asian side fought back in the second test by winning it. Then, the third test at Sydney ended in a draw. But, players like Rishabh Pant and Mohammed Siraj came to the party as they managed to break the Gabba jinx by defeating Australia in the fourth and final Test match. Meanwhile, Team India will look to register another historic away Test series win as they are scheduled to face England in Birmingham on June 1, 2022. Currently, India is leading the series by a margin of 2-1.
