Indian Cricket is set for a revolution with the inaugural edition of Indian Street Premier League. Six teams will take part in the event in a ten-over format as Mumbai will host the first-ever season.
The six teams set to play in the inaugural season are Mumbai, Chennai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Srinagar, and Kolkata. This upcoming league has created a lot of interest amongst the fans. Some of the most promising players from across India will take to the field.
Here are the team owners of all the six teams taking part in the tournament:
1. Team Mumbai – Amitabh Bachchan
The greatest ever Bollywood hero is the face behind the Mumbai team. This is the first time Amitabh Bachchan has invested in a sports-related project. Son Abhishek Bachchan is the owner of Jaipur Pink Panthers and the Chennai Football Club.
2. Team Srinagar – Akshay Kumar
The ‘Khiladi’ of Bollywood has picked up ownership of the Srinagar side. Jammu and Kashmir has been in the news over the recent development of good talents. Umran Malik has taken the world by storm with his amazing bowling. Vivrant Sharma is another player who has impressed fans during his IPL debut. 5. Team Hyderabad – Ram Charan Teja
Cricket and movies are huge in Hyderabad and Ram Charan Teja has a massive following. The young star is the owner of the Team Hyderabad which is set to play in Mumbai during the inaugural season of ISPL T10.
6. Team Chennai – Suriya Sivakumar
Considered one of the finest pan-India actors, Suriya Sivakumar will represent the best cricketing talent from Chennai. The 48-year-old star is the owner of the Chennai ISPL team that will travel to Mumbai. It is well known how much Chennai adores its cricket thanks to the Chennai Super Kings.
