Former India skipper Virat Kohli once again failed impress. After making a comeback from a groin injury, he played in the second ODI against England at Lord's. Kohli came out to bat after the Men In Blue lost the wicket of skipper Rohit Sharma in the third over of the innings. The former played some good drives to get going.
However, his inning was cut short as he nicked behind to opposition skipper Jos Buttler at the score of 16. Once again, it was a case of getting a good start but not getting to a substantial score, let alone getting a century. The visitors lost the game by 100 runs. Meanwhile, the former India skipper has got some support from Pakistan.
Pakistan skipper Babar Azam has jumped in to support his Indian counterpart with a tweet. The tweet was captioned “This too shall pass. Stay strong. #ViratKohli.”

The last time the duo played against each other, it was the 20-20 World Cup 2021 encounter. In that game, both players scored a fifty for their respective sides. The only difference was Azam managed to get his team over the line. Both players will play each other thrice this year. In August and September this year, India and Pakistan will play in the Asia Cup where six teams will participate.
Also, not to forget, the Asian rivals will play each other in 20-20 World Cup 2022 encounter in Melbourne on October 23 this year. Meanwhile, Kohli will be going on a break after the England series. He has been rested for the ODI and T20I series in the West Indies. On the other hand, Babar will playing in the two-match Test series against Sri Lanka which will start on July 16 in Galle.
Meanwhile, the fans are appreciating the message from the Lahore-based player. Some Indian fans are calling it a great cricket friendship between the two legends from India and Pakistan.

I can't imagine the reactions if it was reversed. Such is the level of intolerance today in our country.
