Furthermore, discussing the match, senior batter KL Rahul who was out of form in the first three matches in the ongoing 20-20 World Cup 2022, marked his comeback with a brilliant half-century knock of 50 runs off 32 balls with three boundaries and four sixes to his name. Other than Rahul, former skipper and senior batter Virat Kohli also came up with another amazing half-century in the current edition of the 20-20 World Cup.
The 33-year-old smashed a knock of 64 runs off 44 balls with eight boundaries and a maximum on his credit. Following these knocks, the short cameo of 30 runs off 16 balls with four boundaries from world number T20I batter, Suryakumar Yadav helped India to post a decent total of 184 runs for the loss of six wickets in the allotted 20 overs.
While chasing the target, Bangladeshi opener Litton Das started off things in a swashbuckling style with a brilliant half-century knock. He helped the Bangladeshi side to score 66 runs in just seven overs before the rain played a spoilsport in the game.
Later on, the match was reduced to 151 runs in 16 overs for Bangladesh. Eventually, Rohit's men managed to cross the line by winning restricting Bangladesh 5 runs before the target.
