In exactly a month the 17th edition of the IPL 2024 season is set to begin. On Thursday, the 22nd of February 2024, the schedule for the first 21 games of the season was announced.

MS Dhoni and Virat Kohli will lock horns in the first game of the season. Chennai Super Kings are the defending champions having won the title by beating Gujarat in the final. Mumbai Indians will begin their season with a trip to Gujarat Titans as Hardik Pandya returns to Ahmedabad as the MI skipper.

South Indian derby set to kick off IPL 2024
Chennai Super Kings the defending champions are set to kick off the IPL 2024 campaign on the 22nd of March 2024. Their first opponents will be the Royal Challengers Bangalore with the match to be played at the Chepauk Stadium.
Rishabh Pant will be seen in action for the first time in over 15 months as Delhi begin their campaign against Punjab. Mitchell Starc and Pat Cummins will face each other as Kolkata take on Hyderabad in the first weekend of the tournament. Rajasthan Royals and Lucknow Super Giants will play the afternoon game of the first Sunday’s double-header in Jaipur.
Hardik Pandya set for a reunion with Gujarat Titans –
The second game of the first Sunday of IPL 2024 will witness Gujarat Titans host the Mumbai Indians. It will be interesting to see how the crowd reacts once Hardik Pandya makes his return to Ahmedabad. Rohit Sharma and his equation with the new MI skipper will also be played out in front of the world.
Gautam Gambhir returns to Bengaluru on 29th March –
The much anticipated Gautam Gambhir and Virat Kohli IPL 2024 face-off is set to take place on the 29th of March. Last year sparks flew when Gambhir was part of Lucknow as the two men traded verbal volleys. One has to hold their breath this season as Gautam Gambhir has returned to his old stomping grounds of Kolkata.
