Regarding the match on Monday, the Royal Challengers Bangalore won the toss and decided to bat first on a surface that appeared to be, to put it mildly, challenging. The team from Southern India finished at 126/9 in their 20 overs, making the visitors' decision regrettable as they were forced to watch their supporters endure a lacklustre batting performance.

The only significant scores came from the opening pair of Virat Kohli and Faf du Plessis, who combined for 31 off 30 balls and 44 off 40, respectively. Dinesh Karthik was the only other batter to reach double digits, adding 16 off of 11. Naveen-ul-Haq was the star for LSG and claimed three wickets (3/30) in his four overs. At the same time, Krishnappa Gowtham had one wicket, while Amit Mishra and Ravi Bishnoi each took two. In reply, LSG were bowled out for 108 runs inside 20 overs with KL Rahul, the skipper, batting at No. 11 due to injury.

The reigning champion Gujarat Titans will play the struggling Delhi Capitals at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad next in the sixteenth season of the Indian Premier League. The Titans have won their last three games, but the Capitals are looking to snap their losing skid after their most recent loss to Sunrisers Hyderabad.
