He has smashed two fifties so far in the tournament. In the last edition, Kohli batted at an average of 22.73. He scored 341 runs in 16 matches.

So, seeing his start to this year’s tournament, fans are expecting to score him against DC. However, DC is one of the favourite teams against whom Virat Kohli has always loved to perform. As of now, Kohli has scored the most runs (949) against DC when these teams have faced each other so far in IPL.     

2. David Warner

The Aussie batter is currently the skipper of DC this season. David Warner has scored 209 runs so far in four innings, at an average of 52.25. But, his strike rate has been a concern as Warner has been batting at a strike rate of 114.84. He has also notched up three fifties so far in this ongoing tournament. 

So, seeing his ongoing form at the top order, fans will hope for another top inning from David Warner. But, this time, they will hope for a better strike rate. Even, the pitch at Chinnaswamy might suit him as the boundaries are small also. His inning will be crucial to post a big total on the board for DC.

The RCB skipper has been a great opener along with Virat Kohli in IPL 2023. In three matches so far, Faf du Plessis has scored 175 runs, at an average of 87.50. The Protea batter has also smashed two fifties in the ongoing tournament. He can play a crucial role in tackling the spinners of DC like Axar Patel and Kuldeep Yadav. 

In the last match against LSG, Faf du Plessis scored 79* runs off 46 balls. He hit five fours and five sixes. In their season opener against Mumbai Indians (MI) at the Chinnaswamy Stadium, he scored 73 runs off 43 balls. So, the home crowd will hope for another top knock from the RCB skipper on the home ground.
