On 8 May 2023, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) will lock horns with Punjab Kings (PBKS) in the ongoing IPL. Eden Gardens, Kolkata will host the 53rd match of the tournament. This young wicketkeeper batter has been in phenomenal form in whatever opportunities he has got so far in IPL 2023. In the middle order, Jitesh Sharma has always come out and produced some short but impactful cameos with big shots. His ability to play big shots since the first ball of an inning, has made him a lethal option.
So far, in IPL 2023, Jitesh Sharma has scored 239 runs in 10 matches, at an average of 26.56 and a strike rate of 165.97. In the last game against MI, he smashed 49* runs off 27 balls, including five fours and two sixes. He also stitched a partnership of 119* runs off 53 balls for the fourth wicket.
