The b-string Indian team is currently playing the three-match ODI series against South Africa under the captaincy of Shikhar Dhawan. In a major blow for the men in blue, star pacer Deepak Chahar has been ruled out of the entire series due to an injury. His omission was announced by the Indian cricket Board on the 8th of October, Saturday.
Chahar also missed the first of the three-match ODI series due to the same injury. Earlier, he was one of the frontrunners when there were talks about the possible replacement for senior pacer Jasprit Bumrah in the upcoming 20-20 World Cup 2022.
Although, young all-rounder Washington Sundar is going to replace Deepak Chahar in the remaining two ODIs of the series against South Africa. But this decision didn’t go down well with the Indian cricket fans and they took to Twitter for taking a sly dig at the Indian cricket board for their picks and selections in the Indian team.
Here’s how the fans trolled the Indian cricket Board:

The intensity at which Indian cricketers are getting prone to injuries. It would not an understatement to say that there might be another playing XI of injured players.
Deepak Chahar is also in the list of Standbys in the Indian squad for the 20-20 World Cup and fans are hoping that he recovers before the commencement of the marquee tournament in Australia.
Earlier, senior pacer Jasprit Bumrah and senior all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja were ruled out of the eighth edition of the 20-20 World Cup due to the injuries in back and knee respectively.
Speaking of the ongoing three-match ODI series against South Africa, then the hosts are trailing in the series by a margin of 0-1. They lost the first of the three-match series by nine runs against the visitors.
