Jos Buttler showed the world why he is rated as one of the best T20 players in the world, and looked simply sensational against his former team Mumbai. He became the first centurion of the Indian T20 league 2022 as he scored a hundred from 68 balls. He was well supported by the likes of Sanju Samson (30) and Shimron Hetmyer (35).

Rajasthan scored 193 in the first innings, which meant that Mumbai had to start striking from ball one to win their first game of this season. When it comes to their bowling in the first innings, Jasprit Bumrah was the diamond in the rough as he only gave 17 runs in his four overs, and took a wicket as well. During the second innings, Mumbai lost two early wickets and were in trouble.

However, Ishan Kishan put on an 81-run partnership with the youngster Tilak Varma and threatened to take the game away from the Sanju Samson-led side. After which, both the batters were dismissed in a matter of nine deliveries. Rajasthan were back in the game after that and Yuzvendra Chahal ensured that he took two wickets in his last over.

Mumbai lived up to their reputation of being "Slow Starters" as they have now lost their second game of this season as well. On the other hand, the 2008-champions look like a force to reckon with as they are yet to lose a game in the 2022 edition. It wouldn't be an overstatement to say that the five-time champions were completely outplayed in all departments of the game. At the end, they fell short of their target by 23 runs, and even Kieron Pollard couldn't win the game for them.

The fact that a lot of Mumbai's players are yet to fire doesn't help their cause either. If they are to do well in this season, then they have to rectify their flaws.
