The second game of the Indian T20 league 2022 was topsy-turvy, to say the least. While everyone expected Mumbai to finally break their jinx of losing their first game of the tournament, they yet again failed to do so. Delhi was absolutely superb towards the end of the second innings.

After an Ishan Kishan special in the first innings, Axar Patel and Lalit Yadav ensured that the keeper-batter's efforts went in vain. They scored 75 runs off the last five overs. Yadav played the role of an anchor and scored an amazing 48 from 38 deliveries. The duo played some superb shots and managed to entertain all the fans.

On the other hand, Patel played the role of the aggressor and scored 38 from just 17 balls. Basil Thampi and Murugan Ashwin picked five wickets between them, and were superb during the middle overs. However, Daniel Sams gave away 24 runs in the 17th over of the second innings, and that completely shifted the momentum towards Delhi.

At the end, Delhi chased the target with 10 balls to spare. Earlier, Kuldeep Yadav was superb in the first innings as he picked three wickets, and picked crucial wickets. The fact that Delhi won this encounter despite not having a few of their regular players should please their fans. Besides, it is always sweeter when it's against the five-time champions. On the other hand, Mumbai will have to work on their bowling.
