The 45th match of the Indian T20 league 2022 shall see Lucknow take on Delhi. When the last time these teams clashed, the KL Rahul-led side emerged victorious. They had defeated the Delhi-based franchise by six wickets. However, the Rishabh Pant-led side would want to win their fifth game of this season, and avenge their loss.

They have been topsy-turvy in the 2022 edition so far. Despite looking good in patches, they haven't really been able to stamp their authority. While the likes of David Warner, Prithvi Shaw and Rovman Powell have been superb for them, Delhi's captain Rishabh Pant hasn't really been at his best.

They have won six out of their nine games so far, and are placed third on the points table. If they win this game, they can start to challenge the likes of Rajasthan and Gujarat for the top two spots on the table. This game shall be taking place at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. Pacers are expected to get assistance with the new ball. However, batting gets easier as and when the game progresses. Preserving wickets would be the key for both teams. Thus, captains on either side would want to win the toss and bat second.

After their victory against Kolkata, the Delhi-based franchise wouldn't want to make too many changes to their side. Yet, the one dilemma they would have is that of Chetan Sakariya. Despite having a good game, he might have to make way for Khaleel Ahmed, who didn't play the last match due to an injury.
