Advertisment

Bangalore have been nothing short of outstanding this season. Faf du Plessis’ match-winning would be the biggest positive for the team. Runs are coming from the top-order as well and this should give more confidence to the franchise. Though, they would expect Virat Kohli to add some runs under his belt.

The inclusion of Josh Hazlewood has further strengthen their bowling unit. Bangalore now have a formidable pace attack and is looking like a team to beat.

Players to watch out for:

  1. Faf du Plessis

Faf du Plessis returned to form with a match-winning knock of 96 runs in 64 balls in the last game against Lucknow. Despite wickets falling at the other end, he held firm at one end and played right till the end. Expect him to continue his good run with the bat.

2. Glenn Maxwell

Glenn Mazwell is enjoying playing for Bangalore. Once again, he is looking in solid touch. Maxwell got a great start in the last match but couldn’t convert that into a big score. He will be looking to score a match-winning knock on Saturday.

3. Josh Hazlewood

The inclusion of Josh Hazlewood has done wonders for the team. Harshal Patel hasn’t had made the same impact he had with the ball last year. However, Hazlewood has stepped up for them pretty well. He bowled a game-changing spell of 4 for 25 in the last game and will, once again, be a player to watch out for on Saturday.

Probable Playing XI:

Faf du Plessis (c), Anuj Rawat, Virat Kohli, Glenn Maxwell, Suyash Prabhudessai, Shahbaz Ahmed, Dinesh Karthik (wk), Wanindu Hasaranga, Harshal Patel, Josh Hazlewood, Mohammed Siraj

Hyderabad:

Questions marks were raised over Hyderabad for releasing the likes of Warner and Rashid Khan after Hyderabad lost their first two games. However, the franchise have managed to win four consecutive games since. Heading into the next game, they would be keen to extend the winning run.

Players to watch out for:

  1. T Nataraj

T Nataraj has made an impact with the ball both in the power play as well as in the death overs. He has picked wickets consistently and is currently the highest wicket-taker this season. In 6 matches, he has managed to pick 12 wickets at 17.33.

2. Rahul Tripathi

Rahul Tripathi is the man in form. He has been scoring consistently and has played one of the biggest roles behind Hyderabad’s success this season. Rahul Tripathi has scored the most runs for the team this season. In 6 games, he has 205 runs to his name at 51.25.

3. Aiden Markram

Aiden Markram too has delivered for the team while batting in the middle-order. He has made vital contributions and is currently their second highest run-getter. The South Africa played an unbeaten knock of 41 runs in 27 balls, including 4 fours and 1 six.

Probable Playing XI:

Abhishek Sharma, Kane Williamson (c), Rahul Tripathi, Aiden Markram, Nicholas Pooran (wk), Shashank Singh, Jagadeesha Suchith, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Marco Jansen, Umran Malik, T Natarajan

Expect a high-scoring thriller on Saturday night. Also, with dew coming in, you expect both sides to bowl first.
