The duo of captain Rohit Sharma and coach Rahul Dravid were seen experimenting with the playing of the Indian team frequently in the last couple of matches. Basically, they are focusing on the end of their long wait for the T20 World Cup win. India won the title of the T20 World Champions 15 years back in the year 2007.
But since then, they haven’t won the title in any edition of the T20 World Cup. Last year, they couldn’t qualify for the knock-outs as Pakistan and New Zealand defeated the men in blue in the group stage. Following that, Virat Kohli & co got eliminated from the tournament.
Although, things will be changed for the Indian team in this year’s T20 World Cup. It is because due to the fact that the core leadership has changed with time. Now, the senior batter will be leading the team in the tournament whereas Rahul Dravid will be there to replace the former coach Ravi Shastri in T20 World Cup.
We want to create our bench strength - Rohit Sharma
Despite of having good outings in the recent white-ball bilateral clashes, fans have criticized some of the policies of coach Rahul Dravid and captain Rahul. Nonetheless, Rohit went on to defend the tactics he used along with the coach regarding the test of bench strength of the Indian team.
"We want to create our bench strength, and want to make sure that India's future is in safe hands. That's the planning that we are trying to have," said during his statement during a show of Star Sports.

The statement from the skipper didn’t go down well with the Indian fans and they criticized the policies and came up with concerns about the current situation of Team India as things are still not finalized regarding the T20 World cup’s squad.
The fans took a jibe and also went critical of Rohit and Dravid regarding the inclusion of some player in the squad for the Asia Cup 2022.
Here's how Twitter reacted to the statement of Rohit Sharma:
