The tour will begin on 1st June and conclude on 17th June 2022. The much anticipated Asia Cup will also be conducted this year. 2022 Asia Cup will be held from 27th August to 11th September 2022. "As of now, it would be really tough to say whether they can host the Asia cup. What I know is they are hopeful and very positive about this issue. There is still time in hand to take call but at the same time as per protocol they have been given a deadline to decide on the same," the source said.

Sri Lanka have recently concluded a 2-match Test series in Bangladesh. The first Test resulted in a draw but the second Test was won by the Island nation by 10 wickets.
