After a one-sided contest on Sunday, India and West Indies are all set to play the second ODI on Wednesday. Despite all the hype pertaining to this series, the hosts managed to dominate the visitors rather comfortably. Thus, the Windies would want to win the second one-dayer, and stay alive in the series. A win for India would mean that they would seal the series.
However it isn't going to be easy as the men in blue are a formidable side. Their bowling seems to have finally clicked. Moreover, with the return of KL Rahul, India's batting looks even more stronger.
However, either of Ishan Kishan or Suryakumar Yadav will have to sit out due to the return of India's vice-captain. Other than that, the Sharma-led aren't expected to make any other changes to their XI. On the other hand, the Pollard-led side has a lot of thinking to do.
A lot is expected from Nicholas Pooran and skipper Kieron Pollard. Another expectation from the visitors would be to pick early wickets. Last but not the least, with the critics continuously blaming the Windies skipper, Pollard has a point to prove.
Pitch Report:
Like the first ODI, the pitch is expected to turn for the spinners. As the ball will grip and turn, the middle-order of both teams are expected to show a lot of responsibility. Both teams would want to win the toss and bowl first.
