Team India are currently busy playing the home T20I series against New Zealand. However, senior players like Virat Kohli have been given a rest from the shortest format of the game. The main reason behind it might be the workload management ahead of the 2023 50-over World Cup.
After this series, India will lock horns with Australia at home in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. The Men in Blue will look to win this series to seal their place in the final of the ongoing World Test Championship. Now, pictures have gone viral where Virat Kohli was seen visiting Rishikesh with his wife and the Bollywood actress, Anushka Sharma.

Virat Kohli scored just 55 runs in three innings against the Kiwis
Speaking of those images, Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma were seen on a spiritual trip ahead of the Aussie challenge. The couple visited the Swami Dayanand Ji Maharaj’s samadhi at Swami Dayanand Ashram in Rishikesh. However, it is not the first time when this couple has visited a spiritual place.
In November 2022, Virat and Anushka visited Neem Karoli Baba ashram in Uttarakhand. At that time, the selectors gave the former India skipper a break from the tour of New Zealand following the 20-20 World Cup in Australia. After that, he made a comeback in the tour of Bangladesh and scored an ODI hundred. He then scored two centuries in the home ODI series against Sri Lanka. However, he failed to continue his form against the Kiwis. In the three-match ODI series, he scored only 55 runs, at an average of 18.33.
However, Virat Kohli’s form with the bat will be crucial for team India in the upcoming Test series against Australia. Regarding that, the former Board president, Sourav Ganguly opened up while speaking to SportsTak. "Yes, absolutely. He has batted really well—against Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. He will have to improve in Test cricket because India depends on him, and a very crucial series against Australia is approaching, which I believe will be a cracker of a contest. I expect it to be very competitive. Both are extremely good teams, and it's quite possible that these two teams go on to play in the World Test Championship final," Ganguly said.
