Joe Root stepped down as England's Test captain on Friday. His decision took the world by storm as he has been leading the Three Lions in red-ball cricket since 2017. Some of his major achievements as England's red-ball skipper include a series win in South Africa and Sri Lanka (twice). As a matter of fact, no other English Test captain has won more number of games than him.
The batting maestro led England to 27 Test wins. However, the Brits were having a torrid time in the longest format of the game for the last 12-15 months. They went on to face series defeats against New Zealand, Australia and West Indies. Besides, India currently leads the five-time Test series as well.
Post Root's decision to quit the Test captaincy, Iceland Cricket went on to take a dig at the ECB. They took to Twitter to speak about a false vacancy, for the position of England's new Test captain. They included a few requirements for the same. It is to be noted that they have been popular for their witty Tweets.
"New captaincy vacancy with @ECB_cricket. Experience needed: Handling a 'workforce' with low productivity
Propaganda skills - interpreting disaster as triumphs
Capacity to inspire hope in staff
Media relations
Willingness to travel widely
A few runs and/or wickets now and again" read Iceland Cricket's Tweet. It instantly went viral as fans loved their playful banter.

In the meanwhile, Root drew light on his decision to step down as England's captain in the longest format of the game. In a statement issued by the board, he stated that it was the most challenging decision of his career. He felt that this was the right time.
“After returning from the Caribbean tour and having time to reflect, I have decided to step down as England Men’s Test captain. It has been the most challenging decision I have had to make in my career but having discussed this with my family and those closest to me; I know the timing is right,” said Joe Root.
