The reports suggested that Pant did not sustain internal injuries or fractures and the magnitude of the injuries that the batter sustained remained unclear until the Indian cricket board released a statement and cleared the air over the same. The board clarified that the batter was stable after managing to break the front glass of the car and come out on time before the car got burst into flames.

“India wicket-keeper Rishabh Pant met with a car accident early on Friday morning near Roorkee, Uttarakhand. He was admitted to Saksham Hospital Multispecialty and Trauma Centre where he was treated for impact injuries. Rishabh has two cuts on his forehead, a ligament tear in his right knee and has also hurt his right wrist, ankle, toe and has suffered abrasion injuries on his back,” the statement read.

The Pakistani cricketers, on the other hand, did not shy away from pouring in their wishes and love for the southpaw, after getting to know of the drastic accident. Shaheen Afridi, the lead pacer, was one of the earliest to put in a word of concern for the aspiring superstar, joined by the likes of Ahmad Shahzad and Shoaib Malik.

The batter would hope to make a comeback at the earliest, given that he has proved his will to fight back earlier and fans, who recalled his Gabba innings during India’s tour to Australia in 2020/21, said that the star will be back to impress the world once again and at the earliest.
