"I am still available for selection in T20Is. I believe I am fit enough to play in the T20 World Cup. I hope that selectors will consider my performances around the world. If they do, I am sure they’ll find me a deserving candidate," said Imran Tahir.

The Proteas spinner is currently playing in Pakistan's T20 league, and is representing the Multan Sultans. However, he found it weird that he was playing as an overseas player, as he was born in Pakistan. However, he went on to thank South Africa for giving him a chance to play international cricket.

"It is a strange feeling that I am an overseas player for Pakistan where I was born and even played my initial cricket, but I am also thankful to South Africa that they gave me a chance to reach my dreams and prove myself in international cricket," he said. It is to be noted that Tahir's record in the shortest format of the game is sensational, to say the least. He has picked 63 wickets in 38 T20Is at an average of 15.05.
